How to complete a wire transfer? (HSBC)

Wire transfer is a deposit method of Longbridge. You need to obtain beneficiary information from Longbridge App, transfer funds to your Longbridge bank account via mobile or online banking, and upload the proof of remittance. The following takes HSBC as an example to introduce the specific operation process, transfer fees, processing time, and related notes.

Transfer feeFees are determined by the bank. Longbridge charges no fees.
Processing timeTransfers within the same bank in Hong Kong are expected to arrive within 2 hours, while interbank transfers in Hong Kong may take 1–3 working days. The exact timeframe depends on the bank.

Step 2. Go to the HSBC Bank App > Pay & Transfer > Other local payees/FPS to select the beneficiary.

Step 3. Select the bank account you wish to transfer from.

Step 4. Click Pay someone new > Select a method, and select Account Number in the drop-down list.

Step 5. Enter the beneficiary account number. You can check Add to the beneficiary list. For specific beneficiary bank information, see the details provided at the beginning of this article. Click continue after filling in the details.

Step 6. Enter the transfer amount and submit it. It is recommended to set the effective date to now.

Step 7. Confirm and submit the transfer application.

Step 8. [Important] To ensure timely processing, please save a screenshot (or take a photo) of the proof of remittance and upload it via the Longbridge App.

  • Online banking

Step 1. Go to the HSBC Hong Kong website and click Log on > HSBC Online Banking.

Step 2. After logging in, click My banking - account dashboard > Move money > Pay or Transfer.

Step 3. On the transfer page, for first-time transfers, select New payee. For subsequent transfers, select My payees.

Step 4. Fill in the transfer currency and amount. In the remarks section, you can enter your Longbridge integrated account number and name, for example, ZHANGSAN H1234567.

Step 5. After verifying the information, click continue, and complete the security verification. If a success message is displayed, the transfer is completed.

Step 6. [Important] To ensure timely processing, please save a screenshot (or take a photo) of the proof of remittance and upload it via the Longbridge App.

Notes

  1. You need to register important information such as a valid mobile phone number, email address, and up-to-date identity documents with your banks.
  2. The name on the bank account used for the transfer must match the name on your Longbridge account. You cannot use another person's bank account for transfers. Any refund fees incurred due to non-compliance will be borne by you.
  3. It takes time for the bank to process the transfer. Bank notifications stating "transfer initiated" do not indicate immediate receipt by Longbridge. Settlement and approval are required after the funds arrive in Longbridge. Banks and Longbridge do not process transfers during Hong Kong public holidays. Please allow sufficient time for processing.
  4. Longbridge currently does not accept cash deposits.
